Getting Started
I've never sold supplements before. Where do I start?
Start by reading our How Doctors Can Launch a Supplement Line and How to Start a Supplement Brand Without Inventory guides in the library, then use the Get Matched form to tell us your product category, whether you need dropshipping or white label, and your rough timeline. We'll point you toward the supplier path that fits a first launch rather than a large existing brand.
How long does it take to launch a supplement brand?
It depends heavily on the path. A white-label dropship product with an existing formula can sometimes launch in a matter of weeks once labeling and account setup are complete. A fully custom private-label formula typically takes longer, often several months, because of formulation, testing, and label compliance review. Ask any supplier you're evaluating for their typical timeline in writing before you commit.
Do I need to be a licensed practitioner to sell supplements?
No -- most white-label and dropship supplement programs are open to ecommerce sellers, health coaches, and entrepreneurs, not only licensed clinicians. That said, licensing, labeling, and health-claim rules vary by product type, sales channel, and jurisdiction. This is general information, not legal or regulatory advice; confirm requirements for your specific situation with a qualified professional.
Is there a cost to use SupplementsNoMin.com?
No -- browsing the directory, glossary, and library, and submitting a Get Matched request, are all free for buyers. We work with supplier partners on the supply side of the marketplace; there is no charge to you for the matching service itself.
Ordering & Minimums
What does "no minimum" actually mean?
True no-minimum means a supplier will accept an order of any size, including a single unit, with no required order value, SKU count, or upfront inventory purchase. Some suppliers advertise "no minimum" while still requiring a minimum order value, a minimum SKU count, or a setup fee -- see our True No-Minimum glossary definition for the full breakdown.
Why do some "no minimum" suppliers still charge a setup fee?
A setup fee covers a supplier's one-time cost of onboarding your brand: creating your label template, setting up your account, or running an initial packaging changeover. A supplier can be accurate in saying there's no per-unit order minimum while still charging a setup fee before your first order. Always ask for the full fee schedule in writing before you compare suppliers.
What's the difference between a low-minimum and a true no-minimum supplier?
A true no-minimum supplier will accept an order of any size, including one unit. A low-minimum supplier reduces the barrier compared to traditional bulk manufacturing but still requires a minimum order quantity, often somewhere between 50 and 500 units per SKU. Both can be reasonable choices depending on your budget and how confident you already are in demand.
Verification & Trust
How does SupplementsNoMin.com verify a supplier?
We score each supplier against our Verified No Minimum framework: twelve criteria covering true no-minimum availability, inventory requirements, white-label and private-label support, dropshipping fulfillment, quality certifications, pricing and fee transparency, and practitioner-friendliness. Suppliers that meet the full bar earn the Verified No Minimum badge; others may carry a narrower badge like Low Minimum Verified or Dropship Ready. See How It Works for the complete criteria list.
Are the directory listings real suppliers?
Our supplier directory is new and under active development. Listings marked "Example listing" are illustrative placeholders that show the profile format while we complete real supplier verification -- they are not yet confirmed real supplier relationships. As suppliers are verified against our framework, real listings will replace the examples. Use Get Matched if you don't want to wait on the directory and would rather be routed directly.
Is SupplementsNoMin.com a manufacturer?
No. SupplementsNoMin.com is a research and matching resource, not a supplement manufacturer, distributor, or regulatory authority. We help you evaluate and connect with suppliers; any manufacturing agreement, pricing, and fulfillment relationship is between you and the supplier directly. See our Disclaimer for details.
White Label & Private Label
What's the difference between white label and private label?
White label means you're applying your own brand and label to a product the supplier already produces and sells to other brands as well. Private label means the supplier develops or customizes a formula specifically for you. White label is typically faster and cheaper to launch; private label gives you more control but usually requires a larger minimum order and longer lead time.
Can I start with white label and move to private label later?
Yes, and it's a common path. Many sellers launch with a white-label stock formula to validate demand at low risk, then move to a private-label custom formula once they have sales history and want more differentiation. Ask a potential supplier directly whether they support that growth path before you sign on, since not every white-label supplier also offers private-label manufacturing.
